My love of makeup started when I began working in London and I discovered masses of amazing makeup brands sold in the big City department stores – A far cry from Superdrug where I had previously brought all my makeup!
I spent many a lunch time lounging between counters trying all kinds of products and indulging in all the newest trends. However, now that my days of having time to contour until the cows come home have well and truely gone, I have made it my mission to find products that are quick and easy to apply and help me fake a full nights sleep!
Dewy, sunkissed skin is my very favourite and below I have listed my three absolute must haves for achieving a healthy all over glow –
Smashbox photo finish primerizer – I love this! Not only is it a primer and moisturizer in one, it’s non-greasy (massive win from me!) and locks my foundation on all day. I don’t know anyone who puts foundation on hoping it will disappear so I think this is a must have for most people, especially those attacked by little hands and slobbery chops (Isla!). It’s really lightweight and my skin feels instantly hydrated once I have applied it. I also think my makeup looks much better (I hesitate to say flawless because it sounds big headed, but it’s true) when I’ve used this as a base.
Delilah pure light liquid radiance – this is incredible and really helps me to achieve a dewy, healthy glow. I add a small pump to my primer and apply to my face before my foundation. I often think my skin looks dull but this really helps to brighten and even out my complexion. I sometimes use it on top of my foundation to illuminate my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose. It’s so versatile and a small pump goes a long way. It also comes in a gorgeous bottle!
Nars creamy concealer (I use the colour custard) – I’m sure I’m not the first and definately won’t be the last to bang on about this concealer! It’s by far the very best. I apply it under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose, chin and a little bit on my forehead and it transforms my entire look! Never will I let the ever creeping mum bags win!
