Bare face makeup

I posted this picture of my freckly chops on the weekend and people messaged asking about my makeup so I thought I’d post an update. I’ve changed a few of my products recently and some of them I’m so in love with!

I’ve always loved natural looking makeup and I’ve taken it a step further and stopped wearing foundation. This won’t last forever as it’s a lot easier in the summer when I don’t completely resemble a cream puff but for now I’m loving how easy and convenient it is. Not only do I get an extra 20 minutes in bed but I timed my makeup this morning and it took me just 8 minutes. Maybe that means I can now extend my breakfast to two courses?!

I always start by moisturising my face with Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream which I lather all over my face, lips included, and down my neck – I must be stupid given the price but I’ve never found a moisturiser that I love this much.

I then apply Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter complexion booster in medium. I use the applicator to apply 4 small blobs to my face and rub it in evenly with my finger tips. This leaves your skin looking super starlit so I don’t apply this directly to my nose as I dont want to attract more attention to it than necessary!

Next I lightly contour my face using Revolution Conceal and Define(colour c3) under my eyes, down the sides of my nose and a little touch on my chin and forehead.

Once I’ve blended that out with a damp beauty blender, I apply Benefit Holla Quickie Contour Stick across my forehead just below my hair line, down the sides of my nose, along my jawline and just under my cheekbones. This stick is quite dark and looks scary when you first put it on but it’s so easy to blend out and leaves a really nice natural sunkissed look. I use a real techniques short haired foundation brush to blend mine out as I found that works best.

Next I apply a light covering of Benefit Holla Bronzer to my cheeks and forehead using a big bristle brush. I don’t use a small defined brush as I don’t want it to look too defined and not natural. I then swirl MAC mineralise blusher in shade ‘warm soul’ over the apples of my cheeks.

I use Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finishin medium to set my makeup – this is INSANE and completely blurs out any imperfections!

To highlight I apply the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand to my cheekbones, cupid’s bow and the bridge of my nose.

I use Laura mecier brow definer in colour ‘warm’ for my eyebrows and I always wash a little bit of the Benefit holla bronzer across my eyelids.

I’ve used the same mascara for years which is the benefit ‘they’re real’ which I rate massively! I’ve tried other mascaras and nothing comes close.

I always wear nude lipsticks and glosses but my favourite has to be Charlotte Tilbury Penelope Pink. It’s a nude with pink undertones which I love! Nudes with brown or orange undertones don’t suit me as me. I always match with Barry M ‘toast’ lip liner.

Hope that answers all your questions!

Lots of love
